Local company ToniqLife has just launched a 30-Day No Sugar Challenge to Bath & Wiltshire Businesses.
ToniqLife’s ’30 Day No Refined Sugar Challenge’ is designed to help employees reduce the amount of refined, hidden or ‘free’ sugar they consume in their daily diet, which can have a significant impact on their energy levels, cognitive function, sleep patterns, skin health, gut health, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol as well as mood.
By actively encouraging better nutrition and reduced sugar consumption, employers stand to benefit from a more energised, more engaged and more productive workforce. The challenge also includes an optional 28 Day ‘Get Fit For Summer’ exercise programme complete with workout videos designed for all levels of fitness.
The challenge does not take up valuable employee time during office hours, with all the resources available online. An initial kick-start presentation with Q&A is the only time requirement, which can be accommodated to suit the company and its employees. The presentation is also available online for employees who cannot attend the initial session.
“We have created the challenge as a way to help educate both employers and their employees about the real dangers associated with consuming too much sugar, how to identify the natural and bad sugars and how to reduce the amount we consume,” says ToniqLife’s Nutrition Director, Caroline Chilton-Bates. “Reducing the amount of refined sugar we eat can make a major difference to the way we look and feel. Research has shown that sugar is linked to a range of disorders including irritability and poor sleep but equally more serious illnesses including heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.”
The ’30 Day No Refined Sugar Challenge’ includes a kick-start presentation as well as practical advice including dietary guidelines on the foods to eat and the foods to avoid or reduce over the 30 days, plus ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks as well as a 28 day ‘Get Fit for Summer’ exercise programme complete with workout videos designed by ToniqLife’s Fitness Director, Arron Collins-Thomas. The challenge also includes 2 months free membership to the ToniqLife website packed full of additional healthy recipes and workout videos.
“We welcome ToniqLife’s initiative and have signed up to the challenge, so everyone at Engain can benefit from reducing their sugar intake and more importantly gain the tools and knowledge to maintain a healthier lifestyle both at work and in our private lives,” says Engain’s Managing Director, Nikki Wood.
The ToniqLife Team invite all companies based in the Bath, Wiltshire and the South West to sign-up to the 30 Day Challenge, which will be run until the end of Summer. ToniqLife has kept the cost of entry to the challenge as low as possible to incentivise companies to get involved.
